Planning and Design
Excellence in Communications Engineering
A system design may be used as part of an application to obtain funding or as a proactive step in a business plan. A comprehensive system design may include replacement of copper facilities with fiber optics, extending facilities into newly developed areas, upgrade or replacement of network electronic elements, wireless additions or upgrades, plans for future expansion, removal of obsolete facilities, or any other changes or upgrades needed for your network. Mid-State has decades of experience designing telecommunication networks, and can create a design to fit your needs and budget.
A critical part of any project plan is funding, and we have completed literally hundreds of loan packages, in every region of the country. Our work includes loan applications from traditional banking institutions as well as for the USDA Rural Utilities Service (RUS). Our extensive knowledge of RUS rules and procedures can be an invaluable resource when seeking RUS funding.
We will work with you to determine the design parameters, then compile the available existing information and prepare the design to meet them. The goal is to prepare a solid framework that allows you to plan for, rather than react to, changes in the service area and market. Our experienced personnel and ability to seamlessly collaborate among our various departments (OSP, ISP, CAD, and Clerical) ensures a quality final product.
If desired, we can take the design to the next step and incorporate the various elements into a comprehensive plant records system, using Mid-State’s own e-TICS solution or, if applicable, your existing records management system.
