RUS Experience
Excellence in Communications Engineering
Mid-State’s history is intricately entwined with the history of the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) loan programs. What began as a small federal loan program now includes financing options for broadband, community connectivity, Telemedicine and other services. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provided approximately $7.2 billion in funding to the ARRA Broadband Stimulus Programs to be managed by the RUS and the NTIA. Much of our corporate growth can be attributed to work completed for clients receiving financing through the USDA program which started as the Rural Electrification Administration (REA) and evolved into the RUS.
We continually adapt to changes in the RUS program and remain well-versed in its ever evolving requirements and regulations. Mid-State’s Loan Specialists, OSP and ISP Project Engineers, Resident Engineers and long-term Inspectors have years of experience completing projects under the RUS Program.
Mid-State provides all phases of RUS program management, from initial application through project close-out, and everything in-between. RUS procedures are followed throughout, and we ensure that each phase of the project is completed in accordance with RUS standards and specifications.
To ensure a smooth workflow, we have developed custom procedures and computer programs to tabulate and track construction units, and we utilize Accounting systems tailored specifically to RUS work.
Mid-State – a name you can trust for RUS project management.
